Leprino Foods is the world’s largest producer of cheese, whey protein, and dairy ingredients. Nevertheless, the company faced significant challenges in managing its operations efficiently. Specifically, manual processes, disparate data, and multiple solutions created barriers to visibility and control. Consequently, these issues made it difficult to pinpoint outages or analyze trends with accuracy. As a result, there was no single source of truth, no traceability, and limited justification for audits. To address these gaps, the company began exploring improvements in IT Asset & Configuration Management for Dairy Producer operations to unify and streamline oversight.
Recognizing the urgency of these challenges, the company sought a more strategic approach to asset and configuration management. The decision was driven by the need to improve visibility, streamline processes, and enhance data reliability across IT and production. In response, T4S Partners conducted structured workshops with the Leprino team to begin addressing the identified issues.
Solution
To address these issues, T4S Partners conducted structured workshops with the Leprino team. During these sessions, the focus was on evaluating the current state of IT Asset & Configuration Management for Dairy Producer operations. In particular, the workshops assessed existing processes, asset data quality, and the tools in use. As a result, the team identified critical gaps and uncovered opportunities for improvement. Ultimately, laying a foundation for a more streamlined and effective asset management strategy.
Results
An investment analysis was also conducted, which helped the client build a strong business case and secure funding for the implementation of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). With a new foundation in place, the organization was able to move forward with confidence. Furthermore, the roadmap not only guided the implementation but also supported continuous improvement efforts in IT Asset & Configuration Management for Dairy Producer environments.
