A telecommunications company with over 2 billion in revenue, more than 30,000 employees, and nationwide coverage faces one of its biggest challenges in needing to control over 10 million assets and more than 45 companies with multiple consolidations among them. One of the major challenges is being able to control the maintenance and expansion projects of its telecommunications networks. Therefore, they need a product that helps them maintain control and visualize information in real-time for decision-making. With more than 2,000 users utilizing the system, controlling and visualizing information presents a challenge. 

Solution Approach

With our robust solution from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management ERP, we can optimized and controlled all the client’s processes. Within the solution, we implemented requisition processes with authorization flows with multiple levels and complexities. Through the ERP processes, we standardized the control of acquisitions and depreciation of over 2.7 millions fixed assets. Additionally, the project module was customized to meet special requirements during the expansion process of their telecommunications network.  

This automation and standardization of processes reduced manual errors and increased overall efficiency, saving time and resources. With over 2,000 users actively using the system, the client saw a significant increase in user adoption and satisfaction, which contributed to the overall success of the project. 

Results

The client gained visibility into their procurement processes, asset management, projects, and especially financials. The client reduced the delivery time to shareholders by more than 50%. Control of fixed assets increased by 80%, and control of expansion projects increased by 85%, keeping them within budget by up to 60%. 

The real-time visibility into various processes allowed the client to make more informed decisions, leading to better strategic planning and execution.
