Curriculum

OutSystems Architecture

10 Hours

The OutSystems Architecture module addresses OutSystems Architecture topics with the help of case studies, and will use a real world scenario to practice defining the architecture of an application from high-level requirements. The Discovery tool will be used to validate the resulting architecture.

OutSystems DevOps

7 Hours

The OutSystems Dev Ops module addresses devops and security topics with the help of targeted exercises on securing existing applications, as well as with LifeTime/Service Center exercises (including deployment, monitoring & troubleshooting applications and performance issues). In the end of the module an assessment is performed.

Best Practices

4 Hours

The Best Practices module address OutSystems performance best practices with the help of methods and tools that can be used to ensure that are build robust, performant and maintainable applications.

Agile Development

14 HOURS

The Agile Development module addresses OutSystems Agile best practices with a real world scenario to practice the main team roles of an agile project and its phases.

Shifting from a software development career to Tech Lead implies embracing more responsibilities that a developer typically doesn’t encounter in his day-to-day tasks. And the knowledge needed to be successful ranges from technical, architectural, operational to soft skills.

This program aims to bridge the gap described throughout its modules. With this program, you can expect to learn and master OutSystems’ advanced topics as well as best practices and agile project management concepts.

This advanced program is particularly suited for OutSystems Senior Developers, junior Tech Leads, or Architects with at least one year of web projects experience who attended the Core Ramp Up program. However, Technical Leads from other technologies can enroll in this program after joining one of our introductory programs to learn OutSystems’ basic concepts and earn an OutSystems Associate (Reactive or Traditional Web) Developer Certification.

You will be evaluated in three assessments covering the different concepts learned throughout the program, and a hands-on exercise. You will also need to attend all class sessions and complete all assignments.

The mentioned assessments also have the purpose of preparing you to take the included OutSystems certification exam and become an OutSystems Certified Associate Tech Lead.
